When it comes to choosing a chemical treatment supplier, pulp
and paper mills today are faced with a seemingly endless choice
of companies, all claiming to have just the right product for
every problem.
In our experience, no two problems are alike and therefore each
solution has to be different. We formed Chemisolv to approach
each problem from first principles and, hence, to develop a truly
customised product or programme for each individual application.
There are situations where system conditions are similar and our representatives use their experience in finding the solution, unrestricted by the fixed product portfolios offered by many other suppliers.
We have considerable experience in problem-solving across a wide range of industries and our extensive chemical and application expertise enables us to bring a fresh approach to your problems, unrestricted by established industry techniques.
At Chemisolv, we have developed successful chemical programmes
for most aspects of paper production.

Efficient use of the raw water supply is fundamental to any pulp
and paper operation and effective recycling of treated wastewater
and legal discharge of water are becoming increasingly important.
We have developed numerous applications, such as the removal of
colloidal solids and organic colour from raw water and the treatment
of wastewater streams contaminated with latex coatings, dyes and
de-ink plant waste. Chemisolv has also developed clarification
programmes for streams contaminated by pulp mill liquors, including
Kraft, NSSC and CTMP.
The pressure on de-ink plant operation and stock preparation has increased with the trend towards greater use of secondary and post-consumer fibre. Papermakers also have the additional problems brought by developments in the printing industry, such as flexographic inks, and in the stationery and packaging industries, where more durable products are being manufactured.
Chemisolv can help, considering both the chemistry of the system
and the physical aspects, to develop a customised formulation
for each de-inking application. We can also supply repulping aids,
special cleaners and deposit control products for stock preparation
systems.
Using our experience with synthetic products for strength enhancement
and surface conditioning, we have developed programmes to enable
customers to use lower-cost waste fibre, while maintaining product
strength and quality. Other projects have enhanced finished paper
and board performance from traditional low grade secondary fibre
sources to give a higher-value-added product.
These products and programmes were not developed overnight but required many hours of painstaking applications research and a full understanding of the customer's system and ultimate requirements. We work together with our customers, sometimes for many months, to achieve their goals.
So tell us about your problems and we will apply our total capabilities
to find a solution. Or tell us about your ideas and we will use
our expertise to make them reality -
